Airtel conducted 5G network trial in Mumbai on Monday. With the help of Airtel the 5G network trial was conducted of 5G gear from Nokia at Phoenix Mall in the city. The speed of Airtel 5G network trial has been shown in a video. The speed of 1.2Gbps has been found in this trial.
In the Airtel 5G network trial, the speed of 1.2Gbps was found at ultra low latency. In this the upload speed went near 850Mbps. After achieving this speed, Airtel has broken its old record. In the last trial, the speed of Airtel 5G went up to 1Gbps. This trial was done in the Cyber City Hub area of Gurugram.

This demonstration was done in Hyderabad city on 1800 MHz band through NSA (Non-Stand Alone) network technology. DoT has given spectrum to Airtel in four circles. Airtel has been given spectrum for trial in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Delhi.
According to the report, Airtel has been given spectrum in 3500 MHz, 28 GHz and 700 MHz bands for 5G trials. Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have been given spectrum in 700 MHz, 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands .
Telecom operators have got permission from DoT to conduct 5G technology trials. Earlier Jio also did 5G trial in Mumbai. Apart from this, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has also started 5G trial. For this, telecom operators have tied up with original equipment maker and technology provider Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung and C-DOT.
